This Central London refurbishment needed to meet the strict listed building planning regulations along side the London Plan. Therefore, a combination of traditional Solar panels and Solar PV Slates were necessary to get this building’s sign off.
In total, the roof accommodated 9.16kWp of photovoltaics.
Solar PV Slates are relatively simple to install on new build roofs. Although the efficiencies are not as high as traditional solar panels, they appeal to clients who are design conscious. In addition, Solar Slates are a good choice if the building must abide by stringent planning conditions.
